Each step has different names to show that the person has reached a certain achievement level. Here the total volume of your group can be achieved by your own personal sales volume or your downline sales volume. At this point, volume is created by selling products.

Once targets are achieved by the group, then the distributor moves one step higher level. This continues until the distributor reaches their target. Once a distributor reaches the top there is usually a minimum group volume requirement to maintain that position, by continuing to build, by retailing, and by sponsoring new people. From that time onwards the new group is no longer considered part of this uplines group, hence distributor reach the target.
